Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-10

These Terms of Service govern your use of VerifyC2PA, a free, browser-based tool for inspecting C2PA / Content Credentials.

The service

VerifyC2PA lets you check whether an image carries a C2PA manifest, who signed it, and whether AI-generated or AI-edited content was declared. Verification runs entirely in your browser; your files are never uploaded.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the service lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload it, or to use it for any unlawful purpose.

No warranties; disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. A verification result is technical information only:

Do not rely on VerifyC2PA as the sole basis for legal, financial, or safety decisions.

Intellectual property

The VerifyC2PA name, logo, website design, and text are owned by us. C2PA and Content Credentials are standards owned by their respective organisations; references to them do not imply endorsement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes and termination

We may modify these terms or discontinue the service at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
